Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky

Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky (Константин Эдуардович Циолковский). He was born in Ryazan (South of Moscu) in 1857. He was a scientist and pioneer of the astronautic theory. He died in 1935.


Interesting envelope commemorating the 130 anniversary of Tisolkovsky´s birth.


In his most important work, "The exploration of the cosmic space through the reaction engines" (1903), anticipated the theories of the modern astronautics and exposed for the first time the possibility to travel through the space through the propulsion of the reaction rockets.
